Story projects come in all shapes, and are by no means limited to the marketing or communication departments. As product individuation reaches physical reality, and as service ecosystems overtake physical products, stories will be deployed more and more to differentiate portfolio and drive enterprise through the difficult gates of growth – from starting up and going public to merging, acquiring, divesting, turning around and evolving into something else entirely. Metamorphosis, as the central motif of the Roman poet Ovid’s career, is the daily currency of commercial life.
